Stained & Fused/Beveled Glass Combinations
Each of the stained glass pieces that follow were done as a commissioned work of art and accomplished in collaboration with the client. The design and color choices were based, in general, with their specific esthetic in mind. We’re happy to discuss any ideas that you may have for your home, office or religious or spiritual organization.
Since 2000, glass artist Rob Cleve has been expanding his knowledge of the science behind handling all forms of glass: everything from frit glass, frit powder, stringers, and rods to tack- and full-fuse glass types and how they behave in the kiln at a variety of temperatures. Keeping meticulous notes on the length of time glass sits in the kiln at various temperatures is essential to achieving the desired results - both from the standpoint of precision and design outcome. Stained glass design assemblies require an entirely different approach, from the selection of glass to the design to the copper foiling and final finishing. Each of the projects on this page represent a sampling of the glass art designs he has achieved independently and in collaboration with his clients. Bring your design ideas and visions for your custom glass project and Rob will work with you to come up with a plan that will fit your space and budget. Rest assured: you will enjoy the glass art design process as much as he does.
